Cootamundra gained its own specialty roastery in late 2018, when a team with decades of combined trade experience set up on Wallendoon Street to roast espresso and filter beans on-site. Blends and rotating single origins supply both the cafe counter and wholesale accounts across the Riverina, while the kitchen keeps a short, seasonal line-up of bacon-and-egg muffins, toasties, savoury tarts, fish tacos and hearty salads, with caramel slice and brownies to finish. The fit-out is unhurried and the coffee is the clear point of pride, a reputation reflected in consistently strong reviews that place it at the top of the town's dining options. In a wheatbelt town better known for its Sir Donald Bradman connections than its flat whites, the roastery has become a reliable reason to pull off the Olympic Highway.
